JoeDoe is in closed beta. This is a plain, general summary of how we handle information — we'll expand it as JoeDoe grows.
This Privacy Policy explains how JoeDoe ("we," "us") handles information in connection with our website, app, and virtual card program (the "Service").
We collect information you give us directly — like your name, email, and employer or company details — along with information related to your JoeDoe card and transactions, such as merchant, amount, and timestamp. We also collect basic device and usage data when you use our website or app. If you choose to link a personal payment method, we (or our payment processor) collect what's needed to process that connection; we don't store full personal card numbers ourselves.
We use this information to provide and improve the Service, process transactions, communicate with you, keep the Service secure, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We share information with service providers who help us run JoeDoe, such as payment processors and our card-issuing partner, and with your employer to the extent needed to administer your JoeDoe stipend — we aim to keep your personal spend details private from your employer wherever we reasonably can. We may also share information if required by law or as part of a business transfer. We don't sell your personal information.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as requesting access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at privacy@joedoe.co.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
JoeDoe is intended for use by working adults through an employer relationship and isn't directed to children.
We may update this policy as JoeDoe evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
